Worked on customer support hotline maintaining and upgrading financial system for a Fortune 100 company. Analyzed, updated, and modified JCL, Focus and COBOL programs for Year 2000 compliance. Provided 24-hour coverage for responding to program errors. Converted programs using Focus to a DB2 database.
Responsible for maintenance and enhancement of two UNIX-based applications written in a mixture of SAS, shell scripts and C for a major credit card bank. Provided 24-hour support for user assistance. Also enhanced systems by adding such features as increased security, volume and flow control, increased logging and tracking and different processing queues. Automated many tasks that were previously manual.

Maintained and upgraded series of computer applications for the allocation of the electromagnetic spectrum developed in FoxPro. Responsible for migrating program written in FORTRAN from VAX/VMS to a UNIX platform, including adding embedded SQL calls to an Oracle-developed database. Upgraded and maintained application developed on a VAX/VMS network in FORTRAN. Maintained and tested DOS-based database application including updating menus, GUIs, and documentation.
